Prize fighting

I am researching bareknuckle prizefights held in Berkshire in the 18th and 19th centuries. There was one held at Crookham Common between Ben Caunt and Nick Ward on 2nd February 1841 and was wondering if you have any information on it or or any advice as where to look. Thank you Mick Hill

The local paper would

The local paper would probably have a report of the event. The Reading Mercury and The Berkshire Chronicle were both around at the time. You can see them (on microfilm) at Reading Local Studies Library.
